Detection & repair
Kitchen leak detection
Check concealed supplies, appliance connections and wet cupboard areas.
Is the moisture tied to a fitting or a hidden route?
We consider accessible connections, appliance use and the position of the affected units. Suitable checks can help distinguish a local fitting issue from water arriving under the floor or through the wall. Access requirements are discussed before fixed furniture is disturbed.
A useful starting point
Clear the affected cupboard if it is safe. Mention which appliances were operating and whether the signs occur when they are off.
Tell us about any earlier investigation, even if it did not identify the source. Knowing which checks were made and what access was available helps us decide what remains useful.
Choose a test that answers a question
Moisture mapping may be useful where the conditions and pipe arrangement suit it. Readings vary between materials and cannot alone prove that a particular pipe leaks.
An investigation can combine methods. We explain the findings and their limits, including when the evidence does not yet justify an opening.
Agree access before the repair
Appliance repairs and replacement cabinetry are not included. A failed appliance component may need its own specialist.
Once the proposed work is clear, the agreed plumbing repair is completed with the necessary parts and materials. Suitable checks follow the repair, and the report records relevant observations, work and any remaining matters.
